Looking at the Past and Preparing for the Future

Eight years after the last Satellite Conference sponsored by Classification and Indexing Section, held in Dublin, Ohio, in 2001, this conference will explore the theoretical and methodological aspects of rethinking semantic access to information and knowledge and it will present innovative projects deployed to cope with the challenges of the future, offering a unique opportunity for librarians and other information professionals to get acquainted with the state of the art in subject indexing.
